Martha Stewart, yeah, not so much. But I love me some homemade goodness. I love a good home cooked meal, stunning craft project or delicious, delicately crafted baked good. Mmmm…..oh the baked goods, did someone say baked goods? Sometimes though, creativity and craftiness should be practical and simple. It’s my motto these days. Simple is better. Less is more. Easy and enjoyable are the words in my vocabulary these days. In an effort to spruce up my home office space that is less than desirable these days, I wanted to give my desk a much needed face lift and tidying up. I was cleaning out some stuff in my office and found this cute striped fabric I bought at Ikea a while back and thought it would make the perfect little dressing for my dirty, ugly mouse pad that I’ve had for years. Lo and behold, it was just the trick. Seriously, this tutorial is actually not a tut it’s so easy. So find some unused fabric and then pat yourself on the back for completing one easy crafty project this week. Total time it took me to do this…oh about 1 minute 🙂 Happy crafting!

So yeah, like I said, this is pretty easy. All you need is a sturdy piece of fabric, mouse pad, double-sided tape and a scissors. You could glue it too, but that seemed too much for me to deal with. Tape is your friend. Trace the pattern of the mouse pad on the fabric, cut it out, tape all over the mouse pad, even the edges, press down on fabric, ta-da! It’s done. I also put a piece of tape on my desk and then pressed down on the mouse pad to keep it in place. Easy peasy!!! Stylish mouse pad for $0!! What a deal.

So I’d consider myself a crafty person.
