Andrea & Erik | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

Another amazing wedding is up on the blog today. This time it’s Andrea and Erik! This sweet couple tied the knot at The Bog in Saukville on a beautiful June day. Andrea and Erik’s wedding was full of personal details and fun, whimsical touches, totally my style! I loved all the glass bottles and mason jars that filled the ceremony and reception decor. Everything from the lavender place cards to the peonies and striped ribbon completely fit this couples vintage-modern style. It turned out to be a really windy day, but that certainly did not get in the way of their wedding day plans. We shot all of their photos on the grounds of the Bog, which by the way is beautiful!!! I lovedĀ all theĀ trees, rolling hills and tall grasses, makes for a lovely backdrop for portraits. At one point during the day the sky got really dark and it looked like it might rain. As we were out in the golf carts shooting some pictures, the clouds opened and it down poured! It would have been nice to get some images of the racing golf carts as we headed back to the reception room, but I was covering my cameras with my sweater hoping they would not get wet! Everyone was in good spirits even though we were drenched! The freak rain storm only lasted 15 minutes and we continued shooting the bride and groom portraits in some amazing light!!!

It was simply an amazing day! Congrats to you both!!!

On a side note, sorry for a million images of the flowers, if you couldn’t tell I was totally in love with them!!! Also, the staff of The Bog, totally top-notch!

Here’s the story of their day…

Hi. I’m the mother of the groom and can’t wait to see more of the pictures. You have some remarkable and beautiful shots here; I like that there are both black and white as well as color shots. Anyone can snap pictures, but you really captured the emotions and mood of the day, and in looking at these, I almost feel like I’m back in WI at the Bog. Great job. :o )

What BE-U-TI-FUL pics!! Such variety. I liked the “holding the hands from around the door” shot, and, of course, the one of Andrea and Grampy! You captured the true emotions and love of Andrea and Erik. — Love, Aunt Barbara

All the pictures are great! What an amazing photographer on an amazing day. I especially like the one with the hands around the door–just goes to show that there are absolutely no barriers, and if there are are barriers, they can be overcome when it comes to true love. I am the father of the groom and I wish both Erik and Andrea a very happy and prosperous marriage. Now it’s time to start working on making me a grandfather!!!!
